Western Sydney, watch out! James Packer has his eyes set on you! In a shock announcement made today on KIIS1065 & WSFM radio station, it’s looking very likely NSW is set for a third casino with a 1.3 billion takeover of the iconic Rooty Hill RSL.

The 9 hectare precinct which is home to the largest Gymnastics facility in Southern Hemisphere, four restaurants, a Novotel Hotel, AMF Bowling and a new theatre could now be turned into Sydney’s largest casino and entertainment precinct.

The already existing gaming area and restaurants within the RSL could be amplified with the development of a new Casino, potentially slated for a 2020 opening.

“Rooty Hill RSL is the largest and most iconic Club in Australia, it does make good business sense,” says General Manager Simon Greally.

The RSL’s revenue is largely driven by its 70,000 members and an estimated 3.5 million people who visit Rooty Hill RSL’s precinct each year.

On an average night patrons utilise the RSL for its entertainment and gaming facilities, however with the addition of the Casino that will no doubt increase further.

Although recent reports state that his upcoming nuptials with Mariah Carey are on hold, News Reporters joked on KIIS1065 and WSFM that Mr Packer could be considering the venue for his upcoming wedding.
